Mysore is a tourist destination in the state of Karnataka, India, which is the center of many sightseeing places. Let us tell you that this city is one of the major tourist destinations in India due to its rich cultural heritage and historical importance. Firstly, Mysore is The City of Palaces and is one of the third most populous cities in the state of Karnataka. History of Mysore Palace:-

The history of this Fort is very old and has seen the rule of many rulers. Yaduraya built the first palace inside the fort during the 14th century, which was demolished several times. The old palace was burnt down, and after that the present structure was constructed during the period of 1897 and 1912. After the death of Tipu Sultan in May 1799, Maharaja Krishnaraja Wadiyar III granted Mysore the status of his capital.

This garden is also known as Mysore Zoo, is one of the best zoological gardens in India. Maharaja Chamaraja Wodeyar established this zoo for the royals in 1892. Further, after the attainment of independence, the Department of Horticulture and Horticulture of the State Government manages it. Many schools and college students visit this place from time to time, and the place remains a popular educational trip. From large to small cats, from aquatic to terrestrial birds, and from primates to reptiles, 168 species are present here. You can come here to roam between 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Brindavan Gardens of Mysore:-

The gardens are present just one level below the Krishna Raja Sagar Dam. Spread over 60 acres, Vrindavan Gardens is located 21 km from Mysore. Let us tell you, built on the Kaveri, this project took about five years to complete. The fountain shows, boating, and colorful flowers makes this garden immensely beautiful. Built-in 1932 by the Dewan of Mysore Sir Mirza Ismail, the Vrindavan Gardens attract millions of tourists every year. If you want to come to this garden, then it will be good if you come here for a walk in the evening moreover you can see a music fountain show here.

Located in the royal city of Mysore, Jaganmohan Palace is a magnificent building with a splendid history attached to its name. The Wodeyar of Mysore slept there while Amba Vilas Palace which was his primary palace, was being renovated following a fire. Inside the Jaganmohan Palace is where you’ll find the art gallery and auditorium. The gallery houses one of the largest collections of artworks in Southern India which makes it one of the important tourist places in Mysore. The gallery has more than 2,000 paintings depicting different styles of painting which includes Santiniketan and some Mysore-style paintings.

With a history of more than 200 years, St. Philomena Church is one of the most popular tourist places in Mysore. Not only in Mysore but this church is a famous tourist destination all over the state of Karnataka. St. Philomena Church, the second-tallest church in Asia and it is a tribute to the martyred Catholic saint St. Philomena. We’ll tell you that it was originally a modest church before Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar renovated it. Moreover, this church looks even more beautiful in the evening time and its neo-gothic style attracts people very much.

Trinesvaraswamy Temple: –

This ancient temple is located outside the Mysore Fort, whose main deity is Trineshwar, the three-eyed Shiva. There was a destruction of gopura of this temple in the 18th century however, the beauty of Dravidian architecture still attracts people today.
