To make potato paste:
- Raw potatoes – 2 to 3 (peeled and washed and cut into small pieces)
- Green chillies – 2 to 3
- Ginger – 1 small piece

After cutting the potatoes, put them in a mixer jar. And with it, add 2 to 3 green chillies, a small piece of ginger and grind them to make a thin paste.
Note – While making potato paste, do not use water in it.
To prepare the dough:
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Garam masala powder – 1/4 tsp
- Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
- Kasuri methi – 1 tsp (hand crushed)
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Gram flour – 1/2 cup (or as required)

After making the potato paste, take it out in a big plate. Then add 1 spoon red chili powder, salt according to taste, 1/4 spoon garam masala powder, 1/2 spoon chaat masala, 1 spoon kasuri methi crushed by hands, 1 spoon oil and mix all these well.
After this, take 1/2 cup gram flour and keep adding gram flour little by little and keep mixing it. The amount of gram flour can be more or less. Just keep in mind that the dough should be a little hard. After preparing the dough, keep it covered for 15 to 20 minutes.

- Oil (for rolling and frying the roti)
