What things will be needed
You will not need much material to try this viral trick on Instagram. Here you will only need a thin polythene, which is often used to keep the goods in the grocery store. Which does not have a handle to hold with hands. You will need this type of polythene. With its help, you will be able to dilute oil with water just like reducing excess chilli in vegetables.
How to separate water from oil
Actually oil is lighter than water, so it floats without mixing. If oil and water mix, then put this mixture in a polythene. After this, you will see that the water will settle at the bottom and the oil will remain on top. During this, tilt the polythene and make a small hole and drain the water. When all the water is drained, take out the oil in a pan. This will separate your oil and water easily.
Wait for a while:
If you want to wait for a while, leave the mixture like this for a while. The oil will float to the top and the water will settle down. Then you can slowly skim the oil or carefully drain the water.
Separating oil by vaporizing water (Advanced method):
There is another advanced method in which you can use vacuum method to separate oil and water, in which water vaporizes more quickly under low pressure conditions. But this may be difficult to do commonly at home.
