However, there are many people who are not able to go to the Maha Kumbh Mela due to some reason. In such a situation, if you are also one of those people, then there is no surprise. By following some rules, you can earn the virtue of Amrit Snan (Royal Bath) of Maha Kumbh from home.
This is the rule to earn the virtue of Amrit Snan while sitting at home
- To get the benefits of Maha Kumbh sitting at home, you have to get up before sunrise, because Amrit Snan is done before sunrise. For this, you should take a bath in any holy river near you. If there is no river, then add some Ganga water to the water at home and take a bath with full devotion.
- To earn the virtue of Amrit Snan while sitting at home, chant the mantra “Gange Cha Yamune Chaiva Godavari Saraswati. Narmade Sindhu Kaveri Jalesmin Sannidhim Kuru” while bathing. If you cannot chant this mantra, then chant Har Har Gange.
- To attain the virtue of Amrit Snan at home, one should not use soap, detergent or any type of soap and shampoo while bathing. Apart from this, there is a tradition of taking 5 dips in Kumbh. In such a situation, take a bath at home while remembering Ganga Maayya in your mind.
- After taking bath, offer water to Lord Surya and also to Tulsi Mata.
- Donation has great importance in Maha Kumbh. In such a situation, you should also donate money, clothes, food etc. to the needy, helpless and poor after taking bath at home.
- To get the benefits of Maha Kumbh sitting at home, eat satvik food. During this time, completely give up onion, garlic and tamasic food. Apart from this, along with physical purity, purity of mind is also very important in Amrit Snan. In such a situation, it is very important for you to keep your mind pure as well.
