  • 3-4 Tomatoes
  • 1 Onion
  • 4-5 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 2-3 Green Chillies
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Cream
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Start by preparing the paneer. Cut the paneer into small cubes and add them to a bowl. Add red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt to the bowl. Mix well so that all the paneer cubes are coated with the spices.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the paneer cubes. Fry them until they turn golden brown on all sides. Remove the paneer from the pan and keep aside.
  3. Now, let’s make the gravy. In the same pan, add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Then, add finely chopped onions, garlic and ginger. Saute them until the onions turn translucent.
  4. Add finely chopped tomatoes and green chillies to the pan. Mix well and let them cook until the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
  5. Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool down for a while. Once it has cooled, blend the mixture into a smooth paste in a blender or mixer grinder.
  6. Heat butter along with oil in a pan. Add the tomato-onion paste and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder to the pan. Mix well and let the spices cook for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Add fresh cream and salt to the pan. Mix well and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Finally, add the fried paneer cubes to the pan. Mix well until it cook for 2-3 minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and also serve hot with rice, naan or roti.
