Now, to promote tourism in Mainpat, work has started on the plan to build a Mall Road on the lines of Shimla-Manali. For this, a proposal has been sent to the government after inspecting the site. The hills, rivers, waterfalls and greenery all around in Mainpat of Surguja district remain a special attraction for tourists.
New efforts are being made by the government to promote tourism. Resort Shaila and Karma have been built by Chhattisgarh Tourism Board to provide accommodation facilities to tourists. This will help people to easily get accommodation facilities.

Tourism Will Get Wings In Mainpat, Efforts are being made to build a Mall Road in Mainpat with the aim of promoting tourism. On the occasion of Mainpat Mahotsav, the Chhattisgarh government had announced to build a Mall Road in Mainpat. A joint inspection has been done with the Tourism Department and the Revenue Department.
Also, a proposal has been made and sent to the government. Two sites have been inspected for Mall Road, including the route from Petrol Pump Kamleshwarpur to Tibetan Temple and the route from Petrol Pump Kamleshwarpur to Private Hotel and a proposal has been sent after inspection.

- Train from Raipur to Ambikapur is daily, from here you can take taxi for 60 km.
- 3 days air service from Raipur to Dhima Airport. 50 km journey by taxi.
